Dr Ries always wanted to be a veterinarian. She began working with horses on a race track when she was a young teenager. Her love of animals and field hockey lead her to a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Husbandry from Delaware Valley College of Science and Agriculture. Her Master of Science Degree in Animal Industry was earned at Southern Illinois University, with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine earned at the University of Illinois.
Her continued education leads her on a path of interesting and varied experiences, and travels, inlcuding milking cows, working in a lab, teaching, and working with a variety of animals and people.
More recently Dr Ries has been certified as a Veterinary Chiropractitioner, Veterinary Acupuncturist, and she is a graduacte of the Chi Institute of Tradional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and she is working toward her Master of Science Degree in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
