Dr. Ries always wanted to be a veterinarian. She began working with horses on a race track when she was a young teenager. Her love of animals and field hockey lead her to a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Husbandry from Delaware Valley College of Science and Agriculture. Her Master of Science Degree in Animal Industry was earned at Southern Illinois University, with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine earned at the University of Illinois.

Her continued education leads her on a path of interesting and varied experiences, and travels, including milking cows, working in a lab, teaching, and working with a variety of animals and people.

More recently Dr. Ries has been certified as a Veterinary Chiropractitioner, Veterinary Acupuncturist, and she is a graduate of the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and she is working toward her Master of Science Degree in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.

Becky is originally from Bucks County, PA. She has worked for veterinarians and with animals most of her life. She is the Practice Manager and our Pet Dog Trainer.

She is Mom to Tim (17), Cassie (13), and Kyle (10), a herd of dogs and cats, a 17-year-old Conure that rules the roost, and a miniature Donkey.

Her hobbies include photographing the kids (2 and 4 footed), scrapbooking, and travelling.

Lesley was born in Ohio and moved to Martin County when she was 2 years old. She has 17 years of experience working in boarding kennels, and we were lucky enough to persuade her to work at Savanna Animal Hospital when Dr. Totillas semi-retired. She recently said,” I still love working in the kennel, I really enjoy being with the animals and taking care of them… They become like our own”.

She has always had pets of her own, and she says “I can’t imagine life without them…” She now shares her home with 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs, and a rabbit (as well as a really nice guy!).

Lesley says “I am lucky to be able to work with and enjoy the personalities of these animals every day. They really do bring joy to our lives”.

Jennifer is a lifelong resident of Martin County and a single Mom. She was originally a client, and she used to joke that she visited us so often that it was if she worked here. Now she does.

She and her daughter love animals and they have increased the size of their family with the adoptions of 2 cats from our adoption program and a Guinea Pig from the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast.

Rhea Dansker was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. She then moved to Long Island where she lived for 24 years and raised her 2 daughters. Three years ago she moved to St Lucie West with her cousin and 2 friends, starting a new life and career. She recently adopted a dog of her own, Chicca is living the life of being an only pet and getting all of the attention at home.

Rhea says “The HIGHLIGHT of my life are my 3 Grandchildren, my Granddog, and my Grandbird”
